Helen couldn't help but find it ironic that the one moment she took to sleep was when something did happen. It was irksome all the same, and something that she expected - she stayed awake as to be alert when something occurred and instead it happened when she slept. Thankfully it was nothing dire or of dangerous nature, although the fact that it had occurred at all? Worrisome.

After a little while of being unable to remove the jumper Helen had simply left it, appreciating its extra warmth slightly with the cooler temperatures outside. She gave a quick check of the room that she was in, making certain that nothing else had changed also, before making her way out of the hospital and into Abax - she wasn't done looking around and trying to figure out the place, or find any supplies that she might have previously missed.

It was during this that she spotted another fellow with a jumper one, one rather similar to her own. Oh dear, it would appear that she wasn't alone in this change.

Faramir inclined his head as he neared the unfamiliar dark haired woman in an all too familiar oddly patterned jumper. He stopped a few feet from her, as unaware of the truth of mistletoe in the doorway of many buildings in the city as he was of the truth behind the sinister snowmen that scattered the streets.

“My lady,” he said with a smile, “I see that you too have been visited by our captors.”

Helen gave a smile at his approach, one that widened at his comment regarding her attire. "Unfortunately so. I'm not quite certain what their intent was but partially I'm thankful for it." She was still working on trying to find better clothes.

“A misplaced gift, perhaps?” he suggested. That explanation was certainly preferable to the alternative, that they had wished only to exercise their power over captives that were already all but helpless. She was the first he had heard to express such sentiment. The others had been nothing but furious. “Indeed? Why would you wish to be trapped?”

"Perhaps so." Helen smiled at that - it was a happier thought than most she could think up.

"I do not. It isn't our situation that I'm thankful for but at least this item that they have given." It was hard finding warm clothes, especially with more that arrived.

“But we are trapped within these garments,” he pointed out, though he spoke in a way that was gentle enough to show that he meant no offence and had not intended his words as a criticism. She was clearly no fool and even the faintest trace of optimism was rare in a city as dark and foreboding as Abax. It was enough to make him smile as he bowed his head in greeting.

“Well met, my lady. I am Faramir of Gondor.”

"Not entirely, there are those that have mentioned a solution to that." One that it appeared that Helen hadn't taken them up on.

Helen had to smile at that, and his politeness. "It's a pelasure to meet you, I'm Helen."

“What manner of remedy?” asked Faramir with some surprise. If Mithrandir and the Lady Galadriel had been unable to find a way to remove the garments, he could not imagine anyone else succeeding, but he was coming to understand that the rules that defined Middle-earth did not apply in the cursed city of Abax.

“I hope you have not been kept here overlong, my lady.”

"Some have found a pair of scissors, an object designed to cut, working on it - not all such items do here, leading me to believe that these have been altered somehow." Or the garment had. Or magic itself, which she was coming to believe.

"Just a little over a month, if what I've calculated is correct." And given the lack of light she could be off.

He frowned at that, not because he did not believe Helen but because he could not fathom their captor's purpose.

"Why weave such an enchantment only to gift us with the tools to undo it?"

What did their enemies wish to achieve? At least the purpose of Sauron and his allies had been clear enough. The men of Gondor had been able to fight back.

"Any time spent in a city of such darkness is too long."

"That is a question. Perhaps they believed that it would not be so simple for us to work together to remove ourselves from it?" With all the various personalities in the city they may have believed it impossible (or rather difficult) for them to work together.

Helen gave a nod. "It is at that."

“If that is so, I fear they have been proved right,” he said soberly. He did not believe it was impossible, but he could well believe that it would be difficult.

“It is an ill day to converse in the open air. Perhaps we should take shelter before we continue?”

"Perhaps only temporarily, or even just by some - there are some here that would no doubt be willing to work with others." And those that did not? They could offer help but force nothing.

"That would be lovely. Do you have anywhere in particular in mind?"
