SHARKBAIT 001 {video}

Nov 28, 2011 00:49

{This video is brought to you from behind Squalo's makeshift barricade at the top of the stairs on the top floor of the hospital. He's propped the cellphone up on said barricade so the video shows off his brand new clothing, as reminiscent of his Varia uniform as he could find, as well as a scavenged prosthetic arm in place of his ridiculous stub. You could have chosen a better place to stake your claim. What of the newcomers? What if they do not see your warning at first and wander up there in search of supplies?

Know this: if any harm comes to any innocents for your insolent actions you will find yourself on the sharp end of a blade. Quite possibly your own.

I advise you be wary.

{If only you could see the massive smirk that pulls at his lips. Oh, he likes you, you have backbone.}

I'm not an idiot; I put massive fucking 'no entry' signs up all over. So if the idiots 'wander up' here, it'll be their own damn fault.

Vooiii, interesting threat. {That's his way of saying bring it on: he really isn't scared.}

And how many people do you honestly think actually pay attention to such signs? Especially in such an otherwise deserted building. And what of those that cannot read at all? You may not be an idiot but you have not fully thought this out. Or do not care--which case I pity you.

Especially if I have made good on that threat.

If people don't pay attention to the huge ass fucking signs then they're idiots. {He lets out a small chuckle.} I don't give a fuck.

Oooh, scary. Bring it on, trash. {He's following orders from Xanxus, good luck scaring him into not following them...}

I will only repeat myself one more time: if you harm any innocents then you will pay.

How can you be sure that they were innocents if they're dead? Hah! Like I said, bring it on.

Dead men don't pose much of a risk. {Not that he's an idiot and would let his guard down anyway.}

This one does. I can't seem to stay dead no matter what I try.

Just the top five or so floors. Rest of the hospital's free.

'Cept for the bitch camped out in the lobby, but she's your problem.

[He sighs. Why can't people just be more reasonable?

Let's try a new tactic sense this person sounds...slightly more sane. Or at least calm and in control.]

There are plenty of apartment buildings to choose from in the center of the city, even a few nearby the hospital. You could have a whole building to yourself if you staked your claim there. Why settle for less? You could have comfort... and take the supplies you find with you if that is what you are concerned with. You would have a much more defensible position elsewhere, surely.

[Well, not really from an Assassin but shush you don't need to know that. And he isn't here to start any fighting if he doesn't have to. Which he won't if you crazies stay away from the ...less crazy people.]

More that's useful here. [ And he can keep an eye on who's coming in, how, and when. ] I've got my reasons.

[ Yeah, this guy? Totally the boss of an elite mafia assassin squad :'| You're fooling no one. ]

There's plenty of floors below us. So long as none of the morons get nosy or brave, you'll be fine.

[It would be just as easy to do that through the communicator.] I'm sure you do.

I am not here to start any trouble, and I have no reason to start a conflict without reason. But if I am given one I will punish those responsible.

We can be reasonable here. If you do not harm anyone without just cause--and that includes people who accidentally wonder up there out of curiosity--then there is no need to be uncivil with one another. A simple warning and escort out for those unfortunate enough to make their way to the upper floors will do wonders for public relations. I will not fault any action beyond this. [ie: stupid people who refuse to listen and return of their own risk]

[ But if someone he knows comes through, someone he's not a fan of, he can snipe them before they get too far :'| This was the main concern. ]

No promises. [ A pause ] I'll keep it in mind.

[ He doesn't want to start faction wars quite yet either, but he's not the negotiating type. ]
