All right. [Straight down to business.]

If the words 'Blue Ale' mean anything to you, call me back. [Maybe a few others from that other universe have been dragged here as well. A girl can hope.]

[The following is FILTERED away from Saren :| Sorry]It's pretty much obvious that the city has been deserted. Whether that means we're all going to ( Read more... )

It is as good an idea as any other in this place. I have no doubt there is something in this city, somewhere, waiting and lurking in the shadows... but who or what or where is sadly for another day to discover. 'It' could be outside the central area simply watching for all we know. 'It' certainly isn't letting us out there.

In the meantime I willing to help whoever wishes to set up such a place for the common good. There are some who simply cannot defend themselves on their own and will need the help of others kind enough to accept them into their fold.

[That was... quite a speech. Ashley blinks rapidly, raising an eyebrow.] So.... you're good to team up, then? You got a name?

[He does that sometimes. He chuckles softly when he realizes what her look is for, and nods.] Sì, I am. Giovanni Auditore.

Ashley Williams. [She gives him a nod.] So what's your story? [She just wants to make sure he's not the type to kick puppies or steal candy from defenseless babies]

[He is like the epitome of chivalry. No puppy kicking or baby stealing here. Just a whole lot of adopting of the two and then some.] The short version? I am a noble of Firenze, Italia circa 1476. This is, however and unfortunately, not my first time in such a situation as this one.

Or were you looking for something more specific?

So then you're probably more at ease in a place with no hot running water or working tech than I am. [There's a wry twist to her lips.] It's not your first? You're not from Coruscant, are you? [But no, he hadn't responded to the blue ale codeword :( darn.]

I'm from the year 2187. This also isn't my first time to the different-universe-rodeo, sad to say it. It's a bit harder to adjust here, though.

Undoubtedly, yes. [He smiles softly, apologetically.] No. The city was called Discedo upon the world known as Fortuna. Very badly named if you ask me.

I imagine things had evolved quite a bit by then... Mi dispiace, signorina. It must be frustrating to be here. Even the tech that is here won't always work I've noticed.

Seems like we're coming from all over. [And that... is very troubling. Revan, at least, had a perceivable motive for everything he did, but this? Who was doing this, and why?]

It's not too bad. Sort've like camping-- although even then, we usually had tech to help. I'd feel better if the electricity here made any sense.

It would seem so.

I must admit I have the barest understanding of how electricity works at the best of times... but this place certainly does not help what little I've learned. All I know is that it refuses to be operated the way I was shown and that is a bit...disconcerting.

It refuses to even operate the way science says it should. [Not that she was much of a scientist but even she knew this place defied the laws of reality in some ways.] Even so, I'd still be a helluva lot more comforted if there were any living souls nearby. The whole place just seems like the setup for a horror movie.

[He snorts in wry amusement.] Oh, yes. I have heard that phrase before. It just as adequately describes this place as the last, no doubt.

Hopefully it doesn't turn out to be true.

[Pause. She is somewhat wanting to trust you, but she's not quite sure.] Do you have any skills?

[video] betrayedblade December 6 2011, 09:19:57 UTC
Sì. If by skills you mean am I acquainted with survival and combat techniques. Then yes, definitely. [He can do other things, too, but you know. Important things first.]

Works for me. Right now it's mostly about scavenging, but I have a feeling defense is going to be an important pretty soon. Thus the 'let's band together instead of scrambling around like frightened rabbits.' [Pause.] Safety and peace of mind is the number one priority, right now.

['Scuse her, she's going to go reviww this conversation with her partner who also happens to be an assassin and get his opinion real quick.]

I would not be surprised though it would be nice if that was all we had to worry about for a change.

[He'll be here all day.]

[She comes back a moment later.] You said your name was Auditore, right? [A pause and there is mumbling off-screen.] Right. I'm supposed to ask if you like hoodies.

[And there is a slight shuffle and she vanishes for a moment, the video turning towards the wall as a quick conversation occurs. An irritated man's voice murmurs and Ashley replies, some of her words legible: 'I just said... It's the same thing... Ugh, fine.'

She reappears a moment later, rolling her eyes.] 'Do you feel more comfortable in a hood.'
