If I knew that I would hardly have need to call a counsel. [A splitting headache makes him a little snappish.]

You would if you wished simply to discuss the matter.

In my experience, discussing the matter does little to solve it. We must plan a course of action and a way to defend those who are not capable of doing so for themselves. If you are capable, then you are most welcome to join the discussion.
