[Adam's face appears as the broadcast starts, peering at the camera with the morgue as a background. He studies it for a moment, and then he murmurs, with raised eyebrows:]

...Clever.

[He smiles, polite as can be.]Good evening to anyone who may be out there and receiving me. I wonder, could you tell me where I might find clothes ( Read more... )

video;

Unfortunately little is known of where we are. [ She's not going to repeat what others have already mentioned ] The city is known as Abax, one that is in constant darkness. There is lighting but not anything which can be permanently left on.

[He nods, acknowledging both that she isn't repeating what the others have said, and his own gratitude for it.]

Thank you.

Does everyone arrive in Abax by way of the morgue?

They do. It's possible that whatever it is that does bring us here is only able to bring us to the morgue.

Good point. It's likely more manageable to divert people to one spot than to try to dump them all over the city.

The advantage to that, however, is that we're quickly and easily able to help those that have been brought here. People have started leaving clothes just outside of the doors daily for those that do arrive and there are a few people that reside within the hospital.

Ah, yes. I've been told where to find clothing; I'll check outside the door presently. And be sure to return and leave some things when I can.

Does the city seem safe, overall? Besides the lack of native residents and the means of our arrival?

Those that arrive after you would appreciate that, thank you.

So far, from what we can see. The lack of others here would appear to indicate that but a dark presence has been noted.

It's the least I can do to repay the kindness.

A dark presence? What details do we have on that?

None that I am aware of, sadly enough. Part of me wonders if it's a tangible presence or simply something more figurative.

I've heard there's no daylight here. I can't imagine spending so much time in perpetual darkness wouldn't play games with one's perception or imagination.

It can, without intervention.

I still suspect a lot of what I'm hearing about this place is designed to unnerve. It's easier to control people if they're fearful. I wonder if that's just more of the same.

I've found it easier to gain control through trust and calm - panic is often unpredictable and counterproductive. But if control isn't their goal, if it's something else? We can't know.

Has there been any contact with or communication from our captors at all?

There hasn't been, although there have been unusual occurrences.

Another young lady told me about the tree. Occurrences like that, you mean?

...And please forgive my glaring lapse in good manners. I'm Adam; what's your name?
