Considering this place apparently isn't playing by the laws of physics with regards to current flow, finding a working computer's probably going to be nothing short of a miracle. As for not working, have you checked the hospital? I'm not up on late 20th century medical record keeping, but it stands to reason they should have a couple in the administrators' offices.

Steam power is surprisingly versatile, if you use it right. It's just a pain in the ass to deal with.
