Thanksgiving Pictures and Hoi Polloi

Nov 29, 2009 21:35

This year, Teddy and I had three Thanksgiving dinners. We had one last Friday at Takami's house, one on Thanksgiving here at our house, and then we had one last night at Maya's house.

For lunch on Friday, Takami and I made flatbread pizzas with homemade sauce, cut tomatoes and fresh mozzarella:

Then, we made a serious Thanksgiving dinner. We had salad, vegetable pot pies, homemade stuffing, cranberry sauce, candied sweet potatoes with cashews, mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy, rolls with corn, and homemade pumpkin pie:

Takami invited her friends Keiko and Kumiko over for dinner. Kumiko is the one holding the little boy. They brought their kids, Yo-chan, Sho-chan and Taka-chan.

Keiko made this fruit arrangement:

Here is everyone again after Takami's husband, Shusuke came home:

On Thanksgiving, Barb and Ted came over after dinner and hung out for a while. Steph and Aiden came over for dinner. Here's Ted, Barb, Steph, Aiden, Mom, me, Teddy and Grandma:

Last night, we went over my friend Maya's house. We made all the side dishes and pumpkin pie, there, too, but we made oven fried tofu for the main dish:

We also ate at Hoi Polloi on the Northside the last two weekends.

Last week, we both got these sweet potato, rice and pineapple burritos. They were yummy, but a little bland:

This week, we both got tomato curry soup:

Teddy got the avocado, cheddar and "bacon" melt:

I got the broccoli and sun-dried tomato quesadilla:

That's all for now! I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!
