Perhaps this mindset would not be so foreign to you if you had:

A) Weapons brandished at you regularly
B) Weapons fired at you regularly
C) Buddies killed by the people who are "fun to shoot."

I understand and agree with what you are saying. At the same time though, I thought it was odd that someone with a mindset like that should not be first choice for public speaking if they are going to be that harsh and blunt, or should state the same feelings and memories in a different light.

So is the person that I got on a tech support call the other day your co-worker? He seemed like a really nice guy, and jokingly said you "were too liberal for his tastes".

He is my boss - well one of them. As I'm sure he told you, he's a retired Marine Corps Lt. Colonel. He is in fact a really nice guy.

We shoot shit together regularly, although it is usually lightbulbs and empty whiskey bottles - with an occasional bird.
