CHARMED PRIVATE TO ERNIE MACMILLAN, SUSAN BONES, AND ZACHARIAS SMITH.
I know it's rather silly of me to be writing to the three of you -- Ernie, Susan, and Zacharias, just in case it wasn't clear who I was addressing -- when I could just as easily talk to any of you in the common room or in one of the boys' dormitories, but now that the four of us have been split up among the three tables that entire idea is so stupid and --, I can't help but worry that perhaps Snape and the Carrows are keeping a much closer eye on how we interact -- I mean, not to sound arrogant and like I think we're that important, or at least seem to be, but I hope you know what I mean -- and that perhaps these journals are still the safest and most secret way for us to talk to each other.
Does that make any sense at all? Do you think that they would be more suspicious if we continued to talk to each other after all of this silliness with the tables, or would they think something is more likely to be happening if we stuck with our tables? It's so hard to tell. What do you think, Ernie? You almost always have the right answer to everything.
Anyway, I was wondering -- do you think the Carrows have caught on about food being snuck out of the Great Hall yet? I can't really tell, but then again, it's not like I've got anything to take from the table I'm at. I'm starting to worry that students at that table are going to do something rash and stupid soon, and get the first-years into trouble and there's only so much I can do alone to stop students from -- The first-years definitely appreciate it, but I'm worried about any of you at the 'good' tables getting into trouble and getting put at my the table I'm at and then I'd have no idea what we could do then to help anyone. Do you think I should maybe bring this up with the rest of Dumbledore's Army, so should this just stay between us Hufflepuffs right now? It seems like there are an awful lot of us at this table.
