I can deal with hops in beer, but I'm not a big fan of most of the bocks or doppelbocks I've tried.

I don't mind a good dobblebock, such as Leinenkugel's Big Butt Dopplebock, I really can't stand India Pale Ale's. Speaking of which, if anyone run's into some Big Butt, pick me up a 6, and I'll pay ya back.

You're not the only one who likes Big Butts.

Another unfan of hoppy beers! There are more of us!

Give me a stout, porter, or scotch ale any day of the week over a hoppy beer. Basically anything that is completely opaque or close to it will make me happy. Or a Heineken for some reason.

rachakate brought home this Ithaca 12 pack that had 4 types of beer in it. We both like the nut brown, she likes the apricot wheat. The MAXIMUM OMG MORE HOPS THAN YOUR TASTE BUDS CAN HANDLE ale sat there until someone came over and drank it, likewise with the pale ale.

I guess I just don't like the bitterness in the super hoppy beers.

Hey, Canadian light works well when people come over and drink your beer all the time. ;)

Generally women like different beers than men. We are more sensitive to bitter tastes, which is why men tend to like IPAs and bitter stouts more than women. So, don't be too offended if he doesn't like the same "good" stuff you do...(you have every right to be offended that he would rather drink molson canadian LIGHT than a good beer, though).
