So, my father, ever the aerospace manufacturer, explained to me the other day as I was sitting in front of the Capitol complaining about being bored that my life here is very similar to that of a fighter pilot. My father had said a very similar thing about the life of a fire fighter - long periods of drudgery cleaning up the fire truck and long periods of boredom and then bursts of high excitement.

Abby, I am thrilled by your articles. It almost makes me glad I didn't die when I had my fall.

Hey Abby,

Sounds like an awesome night!

I met Mike Honda at a breakfast last year in Washington -- he really is quite the character.

And -- I can't imagine having discussions with Lampson. I hope to at least meet him when I'm down there -- TX-22 is really an interesting district (it's one I followed reaaaaalllly closely).

I'm reading a book by Al Franken right now, and I was surprised that Weiner's speech actually reminded me of it, as in...speeches in Congree are way more interesting and colorful than I thought they'd be.

Man! I love that guy's tie!!
