So yesterday around 11 am, I went to check my mailbox. This is what I got...
It finally got delivered to me. I love how amazon.com had packaging especially for this book. All over the box, it said "please do not deliver before July 16!" On one of the ends it said "Who is the half-blood prince?" It's so exciting. I already have half the book read since that is all I have wanted to do this weekend. And watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I liked it... not as much as the original though. Tim Burton is one messed up guy. So this weekend, I've been like a little kid.... waiting forHarry Potter and watching the WillyWonka movie.
What else have I been up to? Well I got back from Chicago last Monday. Let me back up a little bit. My last day on PCV was Friday, July 1st. It was a pretty good day. My last day was actually going to be the 6th, but over the weekend, I came up with a 103 degree fever. They sent me home. Sometime on Tuesday, I started getting a rash all over my body. I had red blotches of skin all over my legs and arms. I woke up on Wednesday (supposed to go to work before I flew to Chicago) to find that the rash had spread to my back and chest. I decided that since I should goto the doctor before flying to Chicago. So I went and he told me that I had apparently caught some kind of strep virus that caused my fever. Because I had the fever so long, it broke out into this ugly rash. He said that since I didn't have a fever anymore, I wasn't contagious so I was cleared to fly. I still had this ugly rash so I wore pants the whole time I was in Chicago. The flight to Chicago was awful. I was still super sore from when I tried to run the previous Saturday. And being on a plane for an hour and a half did not help my soreness at all. I woke up the next day and was fine.
All in all, Chicago was okay. I didn't get to do everything that I wanted to, not even half the things I wanted to do,but I guess I was really there to see family. Next time I go, I'm going to make a definate schedule and plan it around a family function so that I'll have time to do the things I want to do. I started in the Nuclear Med department on Tuesday. They have certain colors they wear so they bought my scrubs for me. I'm going to send my brand new scrubs that I bought two weeks ago to my sister.
That's all for now. All of my major wedding planning is done so I don't really have to worry about anything else right now.
Adios for now.
