City of Lost Children...

Someone added the City of Lost Children (some obscure French film-translated into English) onto my amazon DVD rental list. I'm still not sure who. The IMDB lookup comes up with some bland description of "a circus heavyweight searches for his brother" which makes this sound rather lame. It is completely not. City of Lost Children is made by the same people who made Delicatessen and Amelie, as I understand it.

I do rather like the film, but then the version I saw was definitely subtitled not dubbed. Lovely name, Miette.

Lovely to see you on Monday - look forward to seeing pictures.

I like when the one baddy guy makes the other baddy guy watch through his eyes as he kills him. Whee :)

In the original French, Miette's voice is dubbed over with an adult actress's voice which makes it much more eerie.
