He went away. Neela didn't know when or if she'd see him again. She moved on with her life. He briefly came back, and they had a spark, and he left again -- for another unknown time.

I would be looking at Michael's visit as infidelity to Abby, rather than the other way around.

Have you ever seen Season 4 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer? I think there are parallels in Willow's relationship with Tara, and Oz' brief return.

You definitely have a good point. I like the infidelity to Abby angle. And yeah, I have scene the 4th season of BTVS...Great season...although I haven't seen them all. I loved "Hush."

I also say go for it, plus: it's not just okay, it's great for exploration of the characters and their relationships. Neela can be conflicted about it too.
