Got Rock Band this week

I'd played it before and had fun. I was pondering waiting for RB II to comeout, but figured what the hell. Plus I like the selection of songs - a welcome change from Guitar Hero III.

So far singing is my favorate part. I'd say drums, but so far I suck at them (though still fun). Of couse, I can't just expect to start off on expert:

I don't know why, but drums are frustrating as hell for me, even though I feel like I should be able to do it. Bass, however, rocks.

I've also discovered that I know too many *covers* of the songs on RB to do the originals accurately at higher levels. So, singing, not my favorite for once. Ah, sweet humility. :)

I'm getting a little better and the drums. I'd almost say they are easier than the guitar, except for that damn foot peddle - when I ignore that I do great!

Ooo, I'll have to try the bass. I was wondering if I could set up the mic on a stand and do drumbs or guitar at the same time.

As far as singing goes, I kinda wanted to see how Geddy Lee actually did on expert the first time. If anything, it should be Rock Band that's humbled.

I need to go back and watch the Rush vid-- I heard about it, but I keep seeing links only when I'm at work.

If you try bass, do the obvious thing and try RHCP and Police. Srsly. So much fun! And good idea about setting up a mic stand for 2x, but boy, that's a whole new level of accomplishment. You get street cred when you get that. :)

Yeah, that was awesome. I think if they gave it a few more tries they could have gotten their own song down.
