Q: What kind of person spends $200 Million of their own money, to try and win election to the California Governor's seat; a position that pays about $200 Thousand a year?

Meg is one of those people who, the very first time I saw her on TV, I immediately had an intense, instinctive, gut-level negative reaction to her. Before I knew what party she belonged to, before she stated her postion on any of the issues, before she even opened her mouth, I already had the impression that she was an evil succubus, untrustworthy, and not fit for public offic.

It's gonna be interesting to see what happens when/if Prop 19 passes. I'm gonna vote for it, but I'm not exactly sure that it will change anything. It will probably lead to a stand-off between California and the US government over enforcement, but with any luck, state's rights should prevail and things will loosen up at least a little bit.
It looks like Prop 19 will probably pass. It's amazing to read stories about prop 19 on CNN, MSNBC and the LA Times' website; if the story allows user comments, then the comments are usually about 90% pro-legalization and the support seems to be both republican and democratic too.
I'm hoping that 19 wins by such a large margin, that the feds realize that legalization is a political hot potato, and decide keep their noses out of California's business.
It's also gonna be interesting to see Meg's reaction when she loses; she doesn't seem like the kind of person who'd be a "gracious loser."
