Okay, so what is up with me and people thinking that I gudge them?!  Don't we ALL at some point?!  I mean really, think about it.  Truthfully, when you hear a situation or see something that is against what you believe or like, what do you do?  You gudge.  And not intentionally!!!  By no means am I doing this intentionally, but it is human nature ( Read more... )

You shouldn't worry so much... sojapithurts November 9 2004, 12:49:49 UTC
I would say that, in a sense, it is judging. All people are guilty of this in my opinion, so you shouldn't feel terrible about it. Especially when, after you have those thoughts, you can look back and realize what you've done and make adjustments as to how you feel about them/the situation.
You're not a bad person Janet, I promise.

So - in my opinion - yes, everyone does judge. Whether they want to or not, they do. Everyone thinks plenty of mean, nasty thoughts in their head, and most of the time we don't say them out loud. But it's the look that you give afterwards that hurts people and lets them know that you are thinking mean, nasty thoughts. That look of distain and disgust. They just know that you are thinking, "Why on earth would you do something like that?" When I say "you", I don't mean it in the sense of the general public... but you, as in Janet Elaine Costello. Because that look I am talking about - that is the exact look you gave me last night when I told you the truth. And it did hurt, but I'm over it because I know you didn't mean to.

True. I thought the same thing last night. "Oh geez, I hope she knows I don't hate her right now...That was a real bitch move to pull". I'm glad that you know I don't mean it, it was that exact thing I was talking about in my journal. The initial instinct of disapproval that no one can escape from. It just sucks you in and then you realize it afterwards and it's too late. No matter how much you care about the person it is always going to happen (same thing happened with Justin). I'm glad you are my best friend and know how I opperate. Even though you say you already know, I NEVER really do mean to judge. It just kills me to see you, or take part in things (as for the subject brought up last night), that can hurt you.
