Yes! I've heard that fact a while ago. For a long time I thought it only pertained to certain drugs (particularly acid). It's quite mind-boggling to realize that all drugs are only catalysts for something latent.
"Drugs don't get high; people get people high." Cute. I like.

It is important to do what you can on a personal, domestic level. All we can operate on, if you think about it, is through the means of ourselves. And of course, there's a sort of hypocrisy circulating that you should reach out and throw yourself into a cause, become a martyr for bettering the world, basically. I hope I didn't come across as claiming that. It's so important to live your life and enjoy it. Life is a gift. Life as a human is a gift. I can't make the claim that all of society is doomed, either, because I'd only be speaking to figures and statistics. It seems to me that more and more people are coming into awareness and reaching out to make an impact. We can't all be Christs and Ghandis. We can't change the world for sure in a single leap or even a ( ... )

this is one of best applications i've seen thus far. truly. your intellect and passion are seemless, and both seem colored by a touch of optimism.

later when i have more time, i will want to get into some of these topics with you, like the 'grand unity' idea.

i wish i had time right now to really get into this app.

be patient. others will comment, slowly but surely.

you've definitely got my vote!

=)

Extremely articulate but entirely too dependent on Jung. I guess I'm too mundane to accept this application.

Why are you changing your vote? You're entitled to not want me here.

The Jung thing is funny to me because I haven't really read enough of Jung's stuff to understand it past getting a feel for what he's all about. Coincidences, apparently.

Also, as interested as I am in talking to intelligent people, I must admit it does seem a bit elitist to me to have applications. But I guess this is a democracy *eyeroll*. Anyway, I see the point, though, that you don't want hair-twirlers entering into the community and then crying when you throw their pom-poms down. To be trite and cliche of course.

Really, though, I hope you're not changing your vote just because other people seem to be welcoming.

No, I'm being elitist because I'm biased against some of your ideas. This community isn't about rejecting people because of some of their ideas, it's about people who are well above average, and you, ma'am, are well above average.

So, no, it's not about how everyone else is being welcoming, trust me. I just completely missed the point of the community.
