I've noticed this myself as elliot and I do the fitness thing. Sometimes we overthink our actions and that over thinking paralyzes us into inaction. Sometimes you just have to jump, and trust yourself to land safely on the other side.

Be brave, and don't over analyze stuff you know you're capable of doing.

Sometimes what seems like an impulsive decision is really a decision you've mulled over for a very long time. Not consciously but it's been in the back of your mind.

You tell yourself about an action you'd like to make, and then you shelve it. Occasionally it pops up in your thoughts and you ponder it but before pushing it back down. Then suddenly the decision is made, it's a surprise to others and possibly even to you.

This is internal processing. Over a long time you've worked out the permutations and outcomes on your own. You didn't REALLY think about it, but you went for it, based on a feeling or instinct.

Those instincts are never wrong.

To make a long story short, recent events have finally convinced me to come out to my family. I might write out the whole sequence of events once it's all said and done.
