To answer your question...yes. It's really a great interpretation of the Sherlock stories. I was wary when I heard there was going to be a modern day Sherlock, but it's SO GOOD!

Yes, it's really that gay. *g* It's about as gay as gay can be without actual sex. I LOVE IT!

Whether they planned it that way or not, I don't know. I do know that I've always thought of Holmes/Watson as very homoerotic in the original texts. I think that's just been translated with a modern twist.

I mean, seriously, they had to have meant it, right? I mean, wow. If the asshole picked up on it was blatant. This is a man who still thinks that two ladies down the street who have lived together for twenty years are "roommates".

They might have meant it, but they've never answered that question. They just say that they've made it a modern interpretation of the text. Heehee, which means I'm not the only one who got the gay vibe from Doyle's original stories.
