I am so jealous. Just kidding...sort of...but honestly, that's fantastic! I wouldn't mess with a good thing, re: naps. If she's STTN already, just let her take the lead with daytime naps. Maybe 8:30am for the first and again around 1pm? Not sure though!
I think Lilli started getting (herself) in a schedule around 5 months. Before then I just followed the 2 hour rule...and even now she isnt up for more than 2 hours unless we are out and about or she just seems really happy. Otherwise I know shes getting pretty tired!
As for bedtime, I read it is best to gradually move it up...like 15 minutes earlier for a night or two, then 15 more minutes, etc. We started out with a 9 PM bedtime, then moved it up as we felt she was getting super fussy each night. Now she goes to bed around 7:30. And as it gets darker earlier she is showing signs of wanting to go to bed before then...so we shall see.
Thanks - I'm trying to keep her to the 2hr rule, and that seems good during the day. I wasn't sure if it was to early for her to start showing a sleeping pattern, and it seems like 4/5 months is when it starts.
And i'll try the 15 minute move up - the huge jump definitely didn't work!
Great job Olivia!! Her sleep schedule sounds a lot like Nelia's when she was that age. It has only been in the last two weeks that Nelia has started sleeping 9-10 hours a night (which is so nice
( ... )
Thanks! Good to hear this is normal. She seems fine and happy, so i don't want to mess with a good thing, but its hard not to question if it could/should be different.
I haven't read the book yet, but i've heard of it from quiet a few people - i need to go check it out. thanks!
