Baby cribs recalled after three deaths

WASHINGTON - About 1 million Simplicity and Graco cribs are being recalled after three children became entrapped in their cribs and died of suffocation, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said Friday.

I know - it's definitely crazy all the recalls and new things they find every day that are "bad for your baby".

Oh my gosh, this is all so overwhelming now that I have a baby on the way. I feel like everytime I turn around there is something new for babies that was previously considered safe that is now responsible for several infant deaths. I can't even imagine the anger and devestation these parents must feel. I don't want to be a paranoid mom, but seriously how can you avoid it when products from the most trusted manufacturers are proving to be so unsafe? Thanks for posting! We're about to start furniture shopping for the nursery!

I know. It is so scary to think of everything that could happen to your little one. I think it's best to just use your good judgement on these things. Have fun furniture shopping!!
