I went to Fred Meyer, yesterday, because, um, having been in the midst of moving, and unable to walk, there were some necessities I wasn't able to pack before I left

Well then the store SHOULD be better organised. Mostly unharmed isn't good enough. Not too awful when you are temporarily stuck in the cart but a right royal pain in the...well, finger...when it happens all the time.
Still..I suppose it's good that they HAVE the carts.
Mum used to use those a lot coming up to when she had her hip replaced. We tend to presume she'll need them again in the future...
In other news - do you have crutches at least? When is the MRI - that's tomorrow?
Yeah. I've never tried to use one of the carts, before, but I have been aware that there are lots of places that are not wheelchair friendly. The cart is bigger than a wheelchair, but, ya know, it'd be nice if someone who is mobility impaired was able to move through the store.
(Also, I think the display base should have been better secured.)
And, yes! I have crutches. I'm non-weight-bearing on the injured foot, at the moment, so. But even so, that much moving around was a bit much for the knee. (And my arms are soooo tired.)
MRI tomorrow afternoon. Appointment to find out what it means isn't until Friday. Loooong wait.
look up other places with the carts - here there are a couple of malls with them - would give you a place to go and potter around..
It 'might' be possible to rent one somewhere either..when mum was mobility impaired we were looking up tourist places which rented them out..
It's a long time to sit around unable to move (apart from anything else) I hope the weather is kind and makes it so that sitting outside and relaxing is an option.
