I just got an email from Ebates saying that I have a check coming in the mail. It's going to be around $42. :D Yippee.

I was thinking about signing up, but I had a quick question. Is this only valid for online purchases? I am under the assumption that it is, but just wanted to make sure. Our credit card company does something similar, so I'm undecided whether I should just stick with that or not.

It is only for online purchases. You should join (if only to get the free $10 from signing up under Jaime's link) and then before you buy online stuff you can see who's got the better cash back percentage between your CC and Ebates. Also check http://search.live.com/cashback for their percentage back too. Right now Live offers 25% back on Ebay Buy It Now purchases! =oD

Yes, only online purchases, but you can use your credit card to make the purchases and then get credit from both. :)
