Yes, it's been a whileimacharSeptember 18 2022, 00:41:51 UTC
So, it's been so long since I was on LJ, I had to go look up my password, it wasn't saved on this new machine. It was so much fun seeing you this summer - will there be space for us in Nov, if both the boys are there?
I'm pretty wiped out right now as we're in the middle of show and endurance seasons - up at 5:00 this morning, and 6:00 tomorrow morning.
Excited about Boy1 and happy that Boy2 is gainfully employed - and much love to HeadBoy.
Thinking about writing, if I wasn't so damn tired.

I do not know why I volunteered for general duty. I am unhappy and tired. I try to go in late/leave early, but I haven't been very successful.
We will have plenty of room for all y'all! We're reserving the guest room and there's the futon in the living room. Connell will go downstairs and we'll put up a screen so he can have a modicum of privacy. We also have cots and air mattresses which are acutally pretty comfy. Looking forward to your Thanksgiving visit!!
I miss you! I'm so glad I got a notification about this post! I had no idea about most of tist! I have to say, good on Boy1. If he can go to school there and ultimately stay I suspect he'll have more opportunities than in our backsliding hellscape country. My youngest wants out as soon as she graduates. I don't blame them. I do too!
Good on Boy2. Staying employed is hard (I could tell you all about that with the oldest, though she did land a full-time permanent job with benefits before she was kicked off ours, thank goodness! (But just barely.)
We need to have another Zoom call! (I'd say we should try to chat via Discord, but work's blocked Discord so I only have it on my phone and that's hard to pay attention to when work is yammering at me.)
Or, hell, we really just need to schedule some coffee breaks to stay better in touch.
But my year's been no less insane... how TF is it nearly October?
Miss you terribly! F & T are coming here during Thanksgiving week. Any chance you guys can come too?
We're pleased that Boy1 had finally decided on a career path that actually plays to all his interests and skills (and doesn't put him in immient danger of cutting off a finger or 2). And, it gives us a base in Europe. Heh. Everyone was asking him who he was gonna bribe to get Irish citizenship. I'm happy the Irish want to keep him. Sadly, our combined families cannot give him generational citizenship. Every single line has been in the US since before 1800.
And Boy2. I guess I should be happy he's happily employed and call it a win.
