Since I've moved to Center City and have been walking only a few blocks to work in the morning, I have noticed a rather disturbing trend.

Madras is one thing. Someone pairing madras with the footwear fashion eyesore of the century, crocs, is a phenomenon so singularly horrible that when I saw it, I chose to believe it wasn't real. Thanks for bringing up painful memories ;)

I sell children's clothing to pay my student loan bills and every time I have to put a pair of just-purchased Crocs in a bag, a little part of me dies.

wait, what is madras? the shorts? the style of the shorts? the plaid aspect of short? and it can also be a skirt or a dress? inform me!

I am still a bit confused, what I am talking about though is the pattern that I think is disgusting. As far as I know Madras refers to the fabric, but this fabric is being almost chiefly printed with this pattern currently, though not always, so I think they've becoming functionally synonmous.

Anyway that's the story I'm sticking with until someone can tell me otherwise :)

I love plaid but this patchwork plaid is fucking barfy.
