End Days

Feb 05, 2007 00:02

I was watching National Geographic, and they had a program that was talking about the book of Revelation. Perhaps you saw it. One of the things that it reminded me of was that there are many churches, groups of people of all kinds of thoughts not just including the major religions. Now I know that the natural man cannot understand spiritual things ( Read more... )

I've often thought about these same things. Sounds a lot like the false teachers mentioned in II Peter 2 and the description of the end times in II Timothy 3. It's hard to judge how many professing Christians are actually saved, but I don't think there are as many as we would like to believe. Jesus said in Matthew 7:13-14, "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find itIt is very difficult to reach those who are religious and think they are okay. Jesus had His harshest words for the Pharisees. "Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to." (Matthew 23:13-14) I think our focus should be on reaching those we know are lost. Christ said, "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." (Mark 2: ( ... )

Thanks Keith. I know you're right about reaching out to those we know who are lost. I suppose I'm thinking of that place where a Christian would be meek, a term that really needs to be defined in the Church today, and standing up without compromise but with love and call sin, sin. The whole notion of keeping to your own bussiness because you don't want to push your religion on others or offend them tell me that those who hold to it don't believe in Hell. The balance. Thank you also for the exhortation to pray. As much as I hear people having a hard time praying, I would say this is the Church's weakness. Ironically, shouldn't it be our strength.

I must confess that I too find praying to be one of the hardest things to do consistently. I'm sure that Satan knows that it is where our strength lies and he make that a special point of attack ( ... )

I ask you to reread my post! And then read my Address!

Quoting: 'The Secret Rapture Soon!'

Within months, if not years, by my hand, we will be in the post apocalyptic world of 'Jericho' on TV! Doesn't that sound like the Rapture to you? The proof is in the pudding! Stay tuned!

You know when you choose your own way, or you choose to be the captain of your own ship, then when judgement day comes, you will give an account just like everyone else. I really don't think you want to stand before God in your sins.
