Well, after some frustration, and finally copying down what the blue screen was telling me, it seems I most likely have a dieing HD =(. At least, I think it's the HD. I get a fancy Kernel_Data_InPage_Error message, and it's followed up by not being able to find the HD on reboot.

Guess it's time to buy a new laptop HD. Meh.

i read up about a dude having some problems with his dell.
apparently there's a gnarly flaw in the mother board, and the HD controllers aren't the greatest, so they go all sketchy.

you might want to consider ditching your dell, and grabbing a macbook.
