OOC Information:

Name/Alias: Kinz, Kinzies, what have you
Age: nearly 21
E-Mail//MSN//AIM: e-mail - kinns91189[at]yahoo[dot]com
Personal LJ: kinzisawesome

IC Information:

Character Name: Aoko Nakamori
Character Journal: abluechild
Canon: Magic Kaito
Point in Canon: At some point after chapter 28 in MK and some point after chapter 733
Age: 17
Appearance: Aoko has what can be described as choppy, shoulder-length brown hair. Her eyes are bright blue to go with her name which means ‘blue child.’ She’s more on the smaller side standing at probably exactly five foot. She’s got more of a girlish build then a woman’s frame as her hips, bust, and thighs are slightly under developed.

Abilities: Aoko holds no superhuman abilities as she’s just a normal school girl. She can, however, be quite the little terror with a mop. Also, she seems to be able to avoid danger she doesn’t know she’s in and sleep through getting kidnapped and being held hostage- she’s probably a hard sleeper.

Personality:
The biggest personality high-light for this girl would be either her dislike for Kaitou Kid or her temper.

Because her dad is in charge of catching Kid she's grown up to dislike lawbreakers, Kaitou Kid in particular. Aoko respects her father whole-heartedly and doesn't like that Kid makes fun of him, in fact, she doesn't like it when people in general are made fun of. Her hatred of the thief could largely be spawned from this as it is a known fact Kaitou Kid loves taunt and tease. Another part of it could be that she's a daddy's girl through and through.

Aoko, though faced with the possibility that Kuroba Kaito might be Kaitou kid is one hundred percent convinced that, that is just not true. Kaito is her best friend and he would never betray her like that, right?

Aoko is also a very a stubborn, and strong willed girl with a hint of curiosity. She's one of those types of people that are always right, even when they're wrong, they're right.

She's like her father in many ways as far as personality is concerned, She's determined to see people do good and wants to see Kid behind bars, the one chapter aside. Like her father, she's a good person but highly temperamental, especially when it comes to her best friend Kaito. He can bring out the best and worst of girl, knowing which buttons to push to get what reaction.

Aoko, though she has that fiery temper, is actually a very kind and sweet girl, in chapter six this is evidenced by her willingly stepping aside to let another girl pair with Kaito in a skiing contest, despite the fact Aoko herself is in love with her childhood friend.

Aoko is against Kid but if Kaito is somehow involved her opinion shifts, as shown in chapter sixteen, when the detective Hakuba Saguru requests she go out with him should he catch Kid at that night's heist, somehow getting into a bet over it with Kaito. She quickly agrees but secretly roots for Kid as she wants to go on that date with Kaito.

Aoko has always struck me as being a very clean person, possibly because her choice of weapon is a mop, or perhaps it was her need to set the table exactly the way table etiquette demanded. She also has a bit of a quirk as she mostly, not all the time, refers to herself in the third person, as seen throughout the series. The reader is also led to believe that 'Stupid' is one of her main vocabulary words. However, every time that word leaves her mouth it is in regards to Kaito or Kaitou Kid.

History:

Aoko's father is the head inspector of the Kaitou Kid task force and a workaholic, Seeing as nothing is known about the girl's mother, it can be easily assumed she is not in the picture at all as young Aoko was one day told to wait for her father by the footsteps of a clock tower. It's during this time a little boy wanders up to her, probably due to the sad look that's so clearly etched on the poor girl's face, and asks her what she's doing. She explains she's waiting for her father "but he might not come because he's busy"

The boy looks at her a moment before making a rose appear before her very eyes, offering it to her and with it it what would turn out to be long friendship full of mishaps. The boy is Kuroba Kaito who will one day grow up and become the notorious thief, Kaitou Kid. Young Kaito does not know at this time but his father, a world famous magician, is the Kaitou Kid Ginzo Nakamori chases during his earlier years.

Aoko's loneliness is quickly forgotten as now she has a friend to hang around with, following Kaito probably everywhere he goes, including to his father's magic shows.

At age nine tragedy strikes as that's the time Kaito loses his father to a mysterious 'accident.' As Kaito was there for her when she needed him, Aoko is there for him, which probably made things a lot easier on him.

Up until High school Kaito and Aoko were inseparable despite the teasing that went on between them. Such as the infamous mop chases and Aoko teasing Kaito about a cavity.

Aoko is named after her birthstone 'Sapphire' 'Ao', meaning 'blue', and 'Ko' meaning 'child', landing her birthday in September, although no canon date is known. (after reading through about 345435435 links I found a translated site saying Aoko’s birthday is September 10th which is the birthday I give her)

Throughout the series Aoko plays the role of the damsel in distress twice, both times she was not aware of this, and one time does not technically count as the culprit was her teacher. It's my personal belief that if Aoko had known she was in a bad situation she would have made her kidnapper's life Hell and they would being paying to give her back.

First Person Sample:

It’s three in the morning and Daddy still hasn’t made it home. He probably won’t be home for another couple of hours and then he’ll just have to go back in again at ten. Stupid Kaitou Kid needs to do everyone a favor and take a break-or better yet- Retire!

I think that would be best for everyone, Dad’s stress level would go down, Hakuba-kun’s stress level would go down, and people would maybe see they shouldn’t encourage a criminal like that. What’s so great about announcing what you’re going to steal and then giving it back, anyway? That’s just lame and annoying.

Well, no matter, Daddy will catch him one day for sure!

Third Person Sample:

Aoko felt someone knock into her as everyone around was rushing into the warehouse, her hand let go of the small boy she had been watching, she was just barely able to see his small blonde head disappear into the crowd before he was swallowed up lost amongst the sea of people pouring into the building.

“H-hey wait!” She called after him, pushing her way through the crowd and looking for that small child. “Kenta-kun? Please come back with Aoko-neechan.” She managed to move through the officers dressed in riot gear, not focusing on what they were saying, much more concerned with finding the seven-year-old with a head condition. “Kenta-kun!” She called again.

She made into the warehouse and noticed her father and Hakuba knelt down inspecting something, something white clasped in his hand. Whatever they were looking at was blocked as the other officers were standing in the way and she couldn’t quite see behind them. She glanced around for the child but noticed a pair of small feet over by the object being inspected.

“K-Kenta-kun?” Aoko made her way over to the spectacle and looked down at the small blonde, currently crying his pour little heart out, and she couldn’t blame him either, because the thing that the officers were surrounding, was the dead body of his father, the man he idolized. She looked at him with pity and then allowed her eyes to travel to the face of the man Jack Connery. It seemed only then did it hit her this man was dead, his eyes lifeless and staring at the ceiling. She tore her own eyes away from the body and let out a loud shriek.
