Without a compass.

So lost right now.
I just finished licking envelopes for all the Holiday cards I'm sending out, after a full day of activity. I got up early and went shopping with anadasevra, baked nearly 10 dozen cookies for the people at work (5doz. for each job), knitted while walking to work, worked (bleh), knitted while walking home, took a nice long hot shower and ( Read more... )

Things will work out, luv, they always do. You just have to focus on doing what you can to the best of your ability with what you have and the rest will come. If we don't spend some time in a way that we don't like or can't enjoy and if we don't feel lost some where along the way, then how can we know when we've got 'it'? How can we know when we're on the trail or when we've found what we like? Times like this make the rest better...and they are necessary. but don't let this time triumph. I'm here for you, brother. I miss you, but I know that the best is coming soon. *hug*

I'm sorry you feel so crappy, hon. If it's any consolation I think a lot of people go through this when they first leave college. When you're in college you have a structure to your life and you're working towards a goal. When that's over and you're suddenly left to your own devices it's scary. You have so many choices it's hard to know where to turn and so it seems easier to hide away. It will pass. Just keep yourself moving forward, find ways to do the things you love, and the universe will help you find your way. You're far too fabulous not to have a fabulous life. You just have to be patient.

*returns super big hugs* thanks. It does make me feel A LOT better to hear that. That's exactly what's fucking with me is the lack of structure. I really excel when I have a goal or objective set for me, but I'm rather clumsy with the free form. I am a rather spontaneous person but I need that underlying structure holding things together.
