I am midway though my two weeks vacation; traveling with Tyler and Simon. From Beijing we took an 11 hour train to Xi'an. Arriving at 7am we first hired a driver for the day and went to see the warriors; I am glad I saw them, but was expecting a lot more, but still a neat chunk of history to soak in. I only have a card that holds around 180 photos and so I have been taking pictures like crazy and then deleting the non-essentials. It's harder than I thought it would be to pick and choose only the best pix, but I should end up with a nice sample.

Let me summarize:
-limited pics on a card = tough for sure... good luck!
-gift arrived I believe Saturday so it made it safely

Wow! Cool! :) I 1st read that as rabbit eggs and i had to think... do rabbits lay eggs or am i mythologized from the easter bunny? But rabbit heads??? I'm glad you didn't eat them, nin... i would never look at you the same, you know? i'm a rabbit! :) oh, don't eat cat either... it's just not cool. how hungry can you be with all those skewed and deep-fried cockroackes around?

I got my TEFL cert from my previous company ACES. It is kind of a joke, but still counts and I have I nice little piece of paper to prove it.

Yesterday I took another hike to another waterfall. Being someone from below sea level, I have most def seen my share of mountains while being in the PRC.

I can only imagine all of the interesting things you are seeing. I just got a second job teaching english to first year french students and hopefully I will make enough to pay for my plane tickets this summer and for chinese lessons, food, etc. Looks like I will be in Beijing but its only an hour away so if you're still in tianjin I will be stopping in from time to time!

I am not sure if I will be here when you are. My semester ends in early June and then I may stick around to do some more traveling and hopefully to see YOU. When are you planning to get here? I would really like to see you and at least have time for a chat over a good cup of coffee :)
