...Holy crap. I never was really interested in Kate's past, but this was totally amazing. Your characterization is great and I love Kate making a new name for herself (literally). Great job!

Oh, good one. The last line changed everything and grabbed me. Sad and evocative and pitch perfect to both characters, I think. Very nice job!

After everything is said and done, I will always remember this - your Kate.
And after everything is said and done, I will remember your Kate, and your understanding of her. I will always be able to write Kate, because you will always understand her so very well. Seriously, when I write her, I play you in my mind and as long as I think you'll get it, it works for me. You're awesome. Thank you.

oh wow. that's gorgeous and not a little heartbreaking. I do understand Kevin, though. that he kept the ring all this time was a punch to the gut as much as when he gives it back.
