And I'll find strength in pain
Stats
Full Name: Buffy Anne Summers
Age: 22
Height: 5'2
Weight: 110 lbs
Hair: Blond
Eyes: Green
Birthday/Zodiac: January 19th, 1981 /
CapricornStrengths:
Slayer powers. Buffy is compassionate, caring, and thinks about others in a crisis. She has a strong ability to connect with others, and she has shown a great capacity for forgiveness. She can adapt to nearly any situation, she improvises in combat, forms intelligent plans, and displays strong leadership skills. Buffy is someone you can trust. She's loyal, confident, and she never gives up. Her will is incredibly strong. In two instances where vampires (Dracula and The Master) used hypnotism on her, she was able to eventually resist and break out of it, from that point on immune to that vampire's attempts at mind control.
Weaknesses: This girl can't drive. No, seriously. Never put her in the driver's seat of a car. Buffy has an "inferiority complex about having a superiority complex", AKA, she thinks she's better than everyone but she feels really badly about it, to the point of thinking herself inferior because she feels superior. She's sometimes arrogant and bossy. Buffy can run into problems when she doesn't have people she can rely on for emotional, informational, or sometimes fighting support. Although Buffy on her own is quite capable, smart, and adaptable, she has survived this long and not lost her humanity because of her friends. If she is left too long to herself, Buffy can become unbalanced and reckless.
Mix of both: Because of the things she has been through, Buffy has developed incredible emotional fortitude. The downside to this has to do with her inability to express her emotions as well as she used to. She's hardened on the outside. A huge part of a weakness in her character has to do with her strengths; She usually takes actions instead of expressing herself with words. Words don't mean much of anything to her unless they're backed up by the doing. A lot of people tend to misread this and think she doesn't care or express feeling, when all she does is show it. She just doesn't tell people very often.
And I will change my ways
Quick Personality
Buffy Summers is not a typical woman. Not a typical Slayer, not a typical friend or girlfriend, and certainly not a typical valley girl. Starting out as a reluctant, irresponsible newly-called Slayer, Buffy eventually accepted her destiny and her calling, and did so with amazing grace and power. Her personality goes through a lot of changes throughout the series, but her heart stays the same, even with how many times it has been broken. She is, in essence, the perfect example of a flawed yet beautifully strong female character. She has the sort of strength that cannot be fully measured, cannot be extinguished, and will never die (even when she does). Buffy Summers is the Slayer. One girl in all the world, chosen to fight the forces of darkness, and blah blah blah. She defies prophecy, she does things her own way, and she never gives up. Buffy often challenged normal Slayer dynamics, usually taking an unorthodox approach to problems, much to the frustration and confusion of her Watcher, Giles. Despite all of her strength and emotional constitution, Buffy also refused to let go of her “normal” life. Though she has accepted that her life has never really been normal and never will be, she holds onto the idea of being able to walk in both worlds. Hardened by her experiences and the heavy burden of the work she does, she still has an immense capacity for love and compassion. Instead of abandoning her emotions like other Slayers have because they were believed to make the Slayer weak, she considers them “total assets” in combat. She’s got a soft vulnerable center, a hard and tough exterior, and above that, acts generally carefree when the world isn’t ending. There’s no simple phrase or character type that sums this girl up. She’s layers of complexity, all wrapped up in a petite, seemingly un-intimidating package… That packs a hell of a punch.
I'll know my name as it's called again
The Barge / Other
Cabin: Level 4, Room 1.
Cabin interior:
This. There is also a secret closet behind her own that leads to a weaponry, housing all of her weapons.
Possessions on board: Coming soon!
Defining Marks: Some moles/freckles and scars. (Most noticeable scars: A raised vampire-bite-shaped scar on the right side of her neck. Two medium-sized, messy scars from being impaled with a sword; the larger on her lower back and the second half just above her belly-button.)
Things you may notice / Routines: Buffy is up nearly every night between the hours of 1-3, regardless of if she went to sleep before that time or not. She will either move around a lot in her room, go for a walk, or head to the gym during these hours, and usually go back to sleep around 6 AM. Those passing by her room at any time during normal sleeping hours may occasionally hear her scream from nightmares. Buffy is usually out and about most of the day, and catches just about every mealtime. Rarely, one may be able to catch her taking a nap in the library.
I will hold on hope
What others say
Angel: "Buffy, you could never be helpless or boring, not even if you tried."
First Slayer: "You are full of love. You love with all of your soul. It's brighter than the fire... blinding. That's why you pull away from it."
Willow: "You've carried the weight of the world on your shoulders since high school. And I, I know you didn't ask for this, but... you do it every day. And so, you wanted out for one second. So what?"
Xander: "I've been through more battles with Buffy than you all can ever imagine. She's stopped everything that's ever come up against her. She's laid down her life-literally-to protect the people around her. This girl has died two times, and she's still standing. You're scared? That's smart. You got questions? You should. But you doubt her motives, you think Buffy's all about the kill, then you take the little bus to battle. I've seen her heart, and this time-not literally. And I'm telling you, right now, she cares more about your lives than you will ever know. You gotta trust her. She's earned it."
Spike: "When I say I love you, it's not because I want you, or because I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you and I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You are a hell of a woman. You're the one, Buffy."
Faith: "Okay, the point. Me, by myself, all the time. I'm looking at you, everything you have and, I don't know… jealous. Then there I am, everybody's looking to me, trusting me to lead them and I've never felt so alone in my entire life. ...And that's you, every day. Isn't it?"
The First: "Into every generation, a slayer is born. One girl in all the world. She alone will have the strength and skill to- There's that word again. What you are. How you'll die. Alone."
