I've been thinking, the last time we held a formal banquet at the Onsen, it did rather well and was a lot of fun. Would anybody be interested in having another? I was thinking I might try a different theme this time, I note many people tend to wear a certain style of clothing and armor and carry straight-bladed swords. The style I've seen looks ( Read more... )

I wouldn't mind attending. I do have a question, though. From the sound of it, the style of clothing you just described sounds similar to my own. Am I correct?

You are. Much akin to the clothing you wear, actually, although probably a bit more ceremonial. I note that your clothing moreso than some of the others is particularly high quality, and is generally what I had in mind.

I see. Well, I was born into a noble family, which explains the higher quality of my garments. Still, we had even more formal outfits for various balls and ceremonies that we were expected to attend. I still have my outfit from the ball, so perhaps I'll wear that.

Good idea. I'll see if anybody is particularly adept at the style, perhaps we can boost some other businesses as well.

Waitwhatbanquethuh. I have an awesome idea. Let's use paper plates. Then we can give that cute dishwasher the night off. They had paper back then, right?

Paper plates? I would never think to use such things for a banquet. No, we will be using the best dishware we have available. I imagine there will be quite a bit of dishes, so please make sure to handle them carefully. Since we'll be rotating them constantly, I will be leaving specific instructions for the quick cleaning and sanitization of all dishes to prepare them for use again as soon as possible. I'll have to leave Ms. Etna a copy as well, so she can make sure the staff understands the expected standards.

...The last time this happened... was there a large mess to clean up?

We tried to keep it reasonable throughout the night, but yes, the mess was rather extensive. If possible, I will try to provide additional payment to all servers involved.

But Etna-sama cruelly forces me to clean the onsen without pay so that doesn't really help me too much...

Err, I-I mean um, I appreciate that!

The last one was a rousing success and it's been quite some time, so I definitely want to have another.
