The Joys of Literacy

zeispunim and I spent 3½ hours at a huge used books sale today, and we had very big grins on our faces as we carried our heavy boxes to the car. I bought a bunch of books. She bought more, but I don’t envy her. Wanna see why? Of course you do!

Onto the shameless bragging! )

So you're saying there's now a dictionary in the house that's younger than me? This could revolutionize the way we play Boggle.

Well, no. This thing may be absolutely huge, but it isn't young. I did look for a quality newer dictionary but without much luck. Used book sales aren't the best places to find current books.

But Tim, you have to see this dictionary! 2662 pages, and really small print. It's amazing!

The issue is not how many books you got...but how many pounds of books! As in, how much did you pay per pound, like fruit at the grocery store?
