Every time I hear "The Reason" on the radio I cry a little bit inside.

Thank you much for the praise.

Oh, I have not forgotten Franz Ferdinand, my friend. For perhaps the first time ever I have listened to a plurality of the songs/albums in the categories I weigh in on. When I put on Franz Ferdinand I skip around and listen to choice songs, specifically "Take Me Out" and "This Fire." When I put on Hot Fuss I listen to the whole first half. When I pop in American Idiot I listen to the entire album straight through, and then I listen to it again. "Take Me Out" is a very good song, but it is no "American Idiot," "Somebody Told Me," or even "Mr. Brightside." Also, I felt that Good News For People Who Love Bad News, while not the same sort of amazing as American Idiot, is a more solid and consistently good effort than that of Franz Ferdinand. I'd put Franz Ferdinand #2, just edging Wilco.
