Fannish Whip-Round

As some of you already know, taraljc has been going through a lot of trouble over this past year. She's had family problems, requiring her to fly back and forth to Florida. Earlier this year, she was trying to be kind to a friend and ended up lending the friend a great deal of money (over $1000) that she won't see again. Her condo flooded right after she closed, and there's been trouble with the other tenants, which may soon lead to the utilities being shut off. And then last week, someone stole the bicycle she uses to get to and from work. (She doesn't own a car.) We'd like to try and help raise a couple hundred dollars to help her replace the bike, either new or with a decent used replacement.
If you're wondering who taraljc is, you probably haven't been around fandom for long. She's a writer and a website designer, and if you've shared a fandom with her (Smallville, Who, Gargoyles, Firefly, Jake 2.0, Jem, ST: Voyager, and many others) you know her as LJC, the Loony Archivist, or simply as Tara O'Shea. She's one of us, and times are tight, and we'd like to help her through them.
We're not asking for much, just a dollar or two if you can spare it. Paypal donations can be made to mtgat's account (ETA: removed due to end of whip-round -- thanks!!!) with the subject line "For Tara." Missy is also willing to give out her home address if you'd rather send funds through snail mail; please contact her at the same email address.
We're trying to keep this under wraps, so while we ask that you pass it on to anyone you think might be interested, please do so without letting Tara know. Updates will be posted to this journal (which she doesn't have Friended) so we can keep it quiet.
