My Mum somehow thinks I'm depressed because I'm so apathic.

She also wishes I'd act more emotional or 'human' as she called it, and be less of an egoist.

Good to know, Mum.

There is just no pleasing some people, I bet she would complain you are neurotic if you were more emotional. Don't pay attention to her, soon you'll be leaving home to study and will not have to put up with her anymore!

Hello, I followed your very cool icon (the Sherlock one that is currently your default) here, and I just want to say to you that I sympathize with what you're going through.

I may have only glimpsed a few of your entries, but I can tell that you are a cool person. My advice would be to act no more "emotional" or "human" than you actually wish to act, for you are very likely just fine the way you are. Some people just try to mentally shove other people into expected molds, and I guess since that doesn't work, panic often sets in for those people and then they say ridiculous things sometimes.

Either way, I don't think you need to worry about it. Parents, in particular, I think can only be so objective when it comes to their kids, and the rest is tainted by their pre-set opinions, etc...

So...yes. You are fine the way you are, and I hope you are doing well. I love your layout, by the way. Absolutely stunning!

First of all, thank you for your very kind message, and I am EXTREMELY sorry for my late reply. I haven't checked my mails in quite a while and yes...

I'm not the only one with a very cool icon, yours is absolutely stunning *grabs it*

I'm currently going with the more emotional approach, I tend to forget it sometimes, but it works, mostly.

Ah thank you, you are very kind. I found the layout on the BBC community here on livejournal, actually, if you go through the layout tag you ought to find it. If not, I'd gladly help.
