Why is it there is always a time when folks give you "what they really think"? Is life always some sort of myriad of climatic moments? Are we always hitting the high point of the novel when the main character can now see himself? Why does everyone think that things are black and white? That the person with parents who love their kids is ( Read more... )

Bro, I like seeing true journaling on your site. I know it is difficult being where you are. Not many people realize this, but there is a major difference between being at a church home where Biblical Truth is taught and you are surrouned by a body that loves & supports you, versus being out in the world without a strong foundation & environment like this. Now you know why Paul tells us "Do not be bound together with unbelievers; for what partnership have righteousness and lawlessness, or what fellowship has light with darkness" (2 Cor 6:14). But you need to keep your focus on Christ and seek His understanding and strength (Prov 3:5). We tend to try to do things on our own and always fail. Remember, we are talking about your platform here. What good is it if you compromise it to satisfy your own desires, even to be liked by others. I know you know this stuff. But it is a matter of getting it in your heart from your head. I am always praying for you. Ask God to break you so that you will submit to the Holy Spirit. Love you ( ... )

Well This is the only entry I have read, and I love you Adam. You are one of the only people that I knew that no matter when it was I could call you and you would come to the park with me and we could talk about anything. I shared my life with you for those three years, and we discussed everything from girls to our heavenly Father. Good times. I need a friend like you in this crazy life we live. I am going on a mission tomorrow with a group of four kids my age. We are traveling around the country helping out churches and camps and even the inner city filth of society, and eventually Ireland in late July. Man I wish you were with me on this adventure.
Your friend,
David Miller
