Hey, long time no talky.

Looks like I'm moving to Helsinki in April. Well, hopefully. Definitely travelling there for at least 3 months if not more. Applying for jobs like crazy. Will be doing Berlin, Leipzig, Edinburgh and New York before the year's out, but Helsinki's home base.

Glad you're still in one piece. :)

Why Helsinki? I haven't been there yet but I have been to Turku in the summer (which is awesome as the sun hardly sets!).

Yeah, I have been quiet on LJ - I rarely have time for a good ol' LJ rant like I used to :) Or perhaps, there is not much to rant about. Hmmm...
But I do use facebook quite a bit to upload photos from all my adventures :)

Are you still in Melbourne? I miss Melbourne.

Helsinki because a). Finland sounds unexpectedly lovely in a lot of different ways, and b). I've started seeing a girl who lives there and we want to take a shot at making it work. The aim is to get a job over there so I can stay put.

I know what you mean about time. Jesus.

For now I'm still in Melbourne, but I don't know if I can afford it for much longer. Rent here is insane. Absolutely insane. Unless I (or most people i know) want to share a place with other people there's no choice but to move at least 30kms out. Helsinki will actually be easier and better. Plus I get to learn Suomi.

Soooooo looking forward to adventures, my God. As soon as I get over there we're headed to Berlin for a week, then Wave Gotik Treffen in Leipzig, then back to Finland to spend a month working on a farm. Then the Edinburgh Comedy Festival, then a week or two in New York. For starters, if I have any luck.

Finland sounds like a fun adventure :) Isn't it quite expensive though? I know Norway is, can't remember Turku as it was a work thing (all expenses paid wOOt!).

Who knows - we may be living in Edinburgh when the festival is on...
