Life Update

Probably the biggest stress of this month so far has been the whole car issue. Every week we go back on forth about whether or not to get a car now or wait. Last week, we decided to wait and fix my car so that it could pass the SMOG test in CA. Well, we found out that it would cost quite a bit to do that. Just as much as we thought the car was ( Read more... )

Very cool new car!
I hear you on the weight thing, it is hard without the big white dress motivation, huh?

It is hard without that wedding looming ahead. Part of the reason why I lost so much weight was that I was consumed with planning. I'd just make a healthy lunch for myself and gobble it down so that I could work on the wedding during lunch. I didn't have that time to sit and think if I was still hungry or not. Wish there was another obsession I could substitute it with.

Congrats on the new car! Isn't driving such a funner experience when you're in a new car? :-D

I wish my husband would go around bragging how great married life is! We lived together for 5 years before we got married, so Drew thinks everything is the same. To me, it's *not* the same, it's deeper, but whatever. I think my husband comes from a different viewpoint because he takes it for granted that married life should be great. I'm glad that your hubby is appreciating married life!

Driving is so much better when you have something new. I've been driving my old car for 9 years and driving after awhile just became a necessity to get from point A to point B.

We didn't live together before we got married so I think that definitely added to the newess of it all. We both felt that our connection inexplicably got deeper. We can feel it but we can't describe it. But it is great to hear him go on and on about how much he loves it.

Nice car!! We're another one of "those people" who research things to death, and even then wonder if we're doing the right thing, so I completely understand the feeling :) Also I think the rear-camera thing would be wonderful to have. I can't even tell you how many times I hear the horrific stories of people running over toddlers accidently, and this will go long ways in preventing such tragedy. I know, unlikely to happen anyway, but it'll give you a peace of mind once little kiddies are around!

I hear you on the weight issue too - I've gained a solid 5 lbs or so since the wedding (less than 3 months ago!?) and it's hard to portion control.. :\

Oooh, I like the car! Glad that car stress has lifted from your shoulders.

That's so sweet that your husband says stuff like that. Mine does too! It just melts my heart because I know he sincerely means it. It is so hard to get motivated to lose weight, isn't it? I love food too much and I overeat, much like you. Not a good thing. However, you gotta start small and what you're doing sounds like you're on the right track ... otherwise it can be overwhelming.

A little late but...

My sister had the 2003 MDX and LOVED it. She always had on the navigation feature even when she was going to the supermaket. It made me laugh. Happy driving!
