9ish am: I arrive for work on time. Run some errands and accomplish a few tasks before meeting Stacy and Erin for coffee at 10.

10 am: Stacy is running late, which suits me fine because Art Abrams is done recording his show. Help him edit and save his show, then leave for coffee at 10:15.

I've noticed something funny about people in the Pacific Northwest:

they have no idea how to say voilà

Though they still use it as an interjection to mean "There it is!" they pronounce it "WALL-ah!"

Is this the whitest place in America?

I'm pretty sure Canadians know how to pronounce voila, since they've got Quebec going on. What's your excuse, ( Read more... )

My boss, DC, says Wells Fargo is now charging a $7 monthly fee for checking account users. "They tried to charge me a fee last year, but I called them and got it waived."

This time, they customer service rep didn't waive the fee, no matter how many times he asked. (DC is an expert negotiator.)
