I know this might sound completely uneducated or uninformed, but why can't I do a write-in ballot for "None of the Above" ?

In the 12 years I've been eligible to vote, I haven't voted. I'm sure lots of people would get all preachy on me about this admission, but exactly what the fuck should I be doing if I don't see ANY any ANY one I want in office running a campaign? I hate thinking that if I were to go into the booth I am basically playing "Which is Better?" and walking out of there feeling just as crappy if my choice won or not.

It isn't just a matter of who is sitting in the Oval Office, that is only part of my complaint. It is who is sitting in the Congress and the Legislature too. This whole District of Columbia is nothing more than a Junior High School with more power and louder voices.

Well, honestly there actually are good candidates. The problem is people like us tend to not vote in caucuses and primaries, so by the time the general election rolls around the evangelicals and moderate duche bags have given us shit to vote for. Which in turn generates more apathy and annoyance.

Some of the people out there running are solid candidates. Ron Paul got 10% of the vote in the republican caucus in Iowa. 60% of the voters considered themselves evangelicals, thats damned impressive getting 10% on a night like that. I hold out some hope that he might do okay in New Hampshire and Michigan since there are less raving religious nuts ... but again it would require people to do research since he isnt getting the attention, and normal people dont get involved in the caucus/primary season.
