[It's... very dark. After a moment, an off-screen light flickers to life, revealing a Justin who looks far more disheveled and dirty than usual. There's an uneven dirt wall directly behind him. The camera is close; he's clearly not working with a large space.]

Maybe the deities don't care about grave robbers at all. They don't are about other people anyway. If you're not sure why you're there, just come back. Please.

That's true.

I have a vague idea as to why I'm here. If bodies stay in the City... we can use that information. Or we can bring them back. I don't know.

Don't worry, Shilo. There are other people in the graveyard and very little can happen to a person who's standing in a five-foot hole.

Stay close to other people. I know we've been to the graveyard more than a few times, just not in the ground like that.

I will. This is going faster now that I've gotten deeper, too. I won't be long.

I think there are insects here you don't have. Do you have a giant millipede?

...I don't think you'll find anything. I hope you don't, anyway.

Be careful out there, okay? The graveyard is... a weird place. And I don't think a nice one.

It would be interesting if I did. With the advanced technology here, who knows what we could do with the dead. I'm not sure I would want him back, though.

I will be.

I'm down to five and a half feet. The dirt's looser the deeper I go, and the hole doesn't have to be as wide farther down. I haven't found anything so far.

I don't-- I can't-- believe the Deities could do that. Not to everyone who came, even if there are graves.

I... it's not that I don't want to know what's there, I just couldn't do it. The thought makes me feel a little sick.

It would be out of character for them.

You'll find out. I'll tell you what I find, although I doubt there's anything here other than dirt and worms. If there is something, though, we can't afford to not find out.

Mr. Pendleton, is there a particular reason you're digging?

absinthe_eyed July 17 2010, 04:49:36 UTC
Curiosity, primarily.

There aren't any laws against this in the City.

Oh no. I didn't mean to imply that there were. If it gets the job done then...[She trails off because saying laws are negligible might not be the best idea. She's a very means to the end girl.]

I was just curious why you'd be digging a grave. You don't seem the type but you do seem the curious type so that satisfies it.

Have you thoroughly profiled me?

That's going to take you a while.

Remember when we went exploring the graveyard back when you first got here?

Not really. I've finished the hardest part.

I do. The graveyard was different then. ...You're also a considerably faster digger than I am.

How is it different now?

...are you asking for help, Justin~?

More gravestones, more names. Have you looked? You might find the names of the people you met last weekend.

No, although I should have when I started. I'm almost six feet down now.
