People with this frame of mind make me fucking sick. If the incident wasn't enough of a tragedy

Oh- I see I was mistaken... "Interesting" perspective, but seems he misses the point, even by his own belief system. Repentance is not coupled with suicide in Christian doctrine. Martyrdom, yes, but not eating a bullet. That is not a "repentant" way of dealing with things.

And asking to judge the shooter's sins against the sins of his victims is so disingenuous as to be suspect in itself. Is this person contemplating a similar act? Judging the victims at all directly contradicts Christ's teachings; (Luke 6:36 - 6:37, John 8:3 - 8:11 ) and he is well documented as having partied and hung out with promiscuous folk of all kinds without being sanctimonious. Drugs? Drinking? He always said it's what comes out that makes one unclean, not what goes in. (Mark 7:14 - 7:23, Matthew 15:10)

Still, I'm not going to cast any stones. Perhaps this guy meant no offense, but lacks the writing finesse to get his point across. Or maybe he's just a careless prick. Perhaps I'll ask him.
