Crackberry

I've decided its about time I got a Blackberry (in fact, I did have one for a while but it got stolen so I know I like them) and am quite tempted by this deal on the 8520 Curve. Does anyone here use this handset, and would you recommend it? My main concern with these sort of devices is battery life.

A bloke on my f-list (Dakegra) has one and he has posted about the poor battery life which made him regret buying it.

Also, the Blackberry's USP was the push email feature, but most phones can operate that now.

EDIT- oops, that all sounds a bit negative of me....am sure they're good phones - was just trying to point out caveats :)

With any phone like that, assume you'll be charging it daily, and if it often lasts 2-3 days instead, that's a happy bonus. Not too onerous, as long as you have a spare charge cable plugged into your pc for when you're sat next to it, plus a charger for somewhere else useful. Not a problem as long as you're not away from a wall socket, a pc or a car for a few days, while still actively using it a lot.

Can't you set Blacberry's to only recieve your emails at particular times? I'm sure I set mine only to connect every 2 or 4 hours and that this use to save a considerable amount of batterly life as well as helping me to manage my work better. Also as other's said, you can just connect it to your PC while working on it.
