I'm starting week two of the Couch to 5K running plan today. Gotta admit, the weather is making it loads harder and whole a lot sweatier, but I'm not going to be put off ( Read more... )

I'm supposed to be doing W3D3 today, and the weather is not making that sound very appealing :-/

No, it really isn't! I've got a route that's about half shaded, and am hoping this will help.

I think I'll stick with the Emirates on hot days as at least part of it is in its own massive shadow! Will be needing more interesting routes soon though I suspect...

i just started jogging, not following that exact plan but doing jog/walk. so much easier on a treadmill and less painful. i did pavement hte other day and ouchie.

So true - I find I can go a lot further on a treadmill, but haven't sorted out gym membership and am far more likely to jog regularly out in the open!

i did the pavement on friday and then the treadmill at my gym...i think i'll stick with that while i condition myself. good luck with your running!!

Right on! Yeah, i noticed that too, last time I was working out. I really dislike that my ankle injury slowed down my walking, and looking forward to getting back on the treadmill when we finish moving into the new house. In fact, I'm going to use this same plan to get myself back up to speed.
