My you make VK artwork look hip, and also not-dark. The coloring on the full-colored version is beautiful~

OHHHHHHHH TY, SO GLAD YOU LIKED IT. I wound up being dumb & recoloring it all after I couldn't get it to work.

Okay I'm going to word vomit here rn so bear with me. Basically icon battles are what they sound like, icon battles. You pick a person or group of people & set a couple themes. These themes can range from technical things (like negative space, color, close crops, etc) or actual scans. Whatever you pick, you icon. For example Emily & I decided on an image battle so we picked 10 images each (20 tops) and iconned all 20 images. :3 Eventually you post all the icons, either together so people can awe at the pretty or separately. (Most image battles are self explanatory tbh.) For technical ones you just icon whatever themes you set. It doesn't have to be fandom specific, that is unless you want it to. I HOPE THAT MADE SENSE? LORD KNOWS

I think perhaps it's better sometimes not to be familiar with an artstyle, because it allows you to be creative.
