[The Doctor had taken some time to look over the map and look up a few things about this town.

And to mentally poke the moth that was apparently his gestalt. He grasped it was a symbiotic relationship and that trying to untangle himself from this being would just hurt them both.

It was just he already had symbiotic relationship similar to this with his ship, and that was only one he wanted, thank you very much. He tried to not let on his annoyance to the gestalt, though. It wasn't malicious, and couldn't help it's nature, the poor thing.

Once he set out, he found the Archives rather quickly. He recognized the robot on the steps more than the young man, since the Doctor could only see his back.]

Mitsuo?

[Heart all but stopped from the shock, and lodged in his throat, he whirled to face the sound... and nearly toppled down the stairs.]

[Luckily, the robot had better reflexes and more empathy.]

[It caught him with one steadying hand, and he ignored it.]

The Doctor, I presume?

[The Doctor hadn't been prepared for that jump response and stumbled back, himself. He felt a sharp stab of vertigo, made that much worse by his senses being off.

Beside him, the fluttering moth felt the almost fear, blurred and suddenly it was not a moth.

It was a half grown cat hissing in displeasure.]

Woah.

[Danger, Will Robinson, Danger.]

[Despite the size of the beastie, the Robot knew a threat when it scanned one; it moved between Mitsuo and the cat and spread it's arms wide; the air around it crackled faintly.]

Easy, thing, easy. It's just a cat. Kind of. [Mitsuo shifted his attention to the Doctor.] Cooler than a moth, at least.
