The bullets had nearly hit her, but she was fast. The winged girl couldn't fly but she could run. Run and run. The fog had thickened (was this what they would call "pea soup"?). Even the buildings always came up to surprise her.

What was worse was that she had lost Heine. He was somewhere else. Somewhere she didn't know. Somewhere in the fog.

And she was scared. There were only two things that she was good at. Waiting and running. Neither were effective in this situation with the mist shifting around her. Wings fluttered against her back, shifting to press closer.

The voice that followed the gunshots made things no better. D-Do people normally shoot before calling out? And the person sounded...a little bit frightening...Was it safe to respond? Would the stranger in the mist shoot again? She couldn't speak but making a sound might be too startling...

Nill didn't want to be shot at.

Wings rustle.

Maybe the sound would be a calm enough noise to allow safe passage to a sanctuary.

Don't hurt me.

Reanbell sighed, shaking the heavy feeling that was starting to be felt in her head. She was becoming paranoid, all these reflections and shadows that kept showing up within the fog. She needed to stop being so jumpy if she was going to find Zephyr in this fog.

She started to walk away, only stopping dead when Reanbell heard that wing rustle.

Her intense paranoia that was developing was starting to take over but she refrained from firing her gun again. It was a different sound than the silence given by shadows. Slowly, she approached from where she heard the noise through the fog, a mixture of concern and fear that she was doing the wrong thing by trying to seek out the source.

That's when she became close enough to almost bump into Nill, blinking before quietly asking, "Ah... are you... okay?" Was this the shadow she had fired her gun at? It would figure.

"Are you lost?" That would make two of them.

Nill jumps upon contact before instantly curling up into a ball, knees tucked in and head covered. The quiet voice coaxes her to look up, wings flutter and Nill nods after a moment in response.

Lost.

Very lost.

And scared.

I can't find Heine.

Reanbell looks down at her, studying the younger girl's features before coming to crouch down next to her. She offers a friendly smile despite their unfriendly surroundings, attempting to coax the girl out of her defensive and scared position.

"I'm lost, too. Let's help each other, okay? I won't let anything happen to you."
